Sarah Andersen is a Financial Times journalist

Sarah is a French and Danish journalist based in New York City. She produces, shoots and edits news videos, TV segments, and documentaries.

 

Sarah started her career in Lebanon before reporting for Cape Times in South Africa in 2017. The following year, Sarah ventured into documentary filmmaking with Babel Doc in India before becoming a video journalist for the French news outlet Le Parisien, where she covered local and international news from the Covid-19 pandemic to climate change in the Arctic. In 2022, Sarah joined The Financial Times in the United States before becoming a Video producer at Business Insider.

Sarah freelances for production companies and international news outlets such as BBC in the UK, L'Echo in Belgium, and France 24 or RTL in France.

In 2023, Sarah was awarded a grant from the European Journalism Centre to cover mental health in Lebanon after the Beirut explosion. She is also a recipient of the Pascale Gerin Prize and a proud member of LeadHers.

 

Sarah graduated from Sciences Po Paris and New York University.
