Sarah Andersen is a Financial Times journalist

Sarah is a French and Danish journalist based in New York City. She produces, shoots, and edits news videos, TV segments, and documentaries.

 

Sarah has been living in the United States since 2020. She produces videos for Business Insider and collaborates with foreign news outlets, including France 24, RTL, Al-Jazeera, France 5, and L'Echo. Before that, she spent two years in the New York bureau of the Financial Times.

Sarah began her journalism career in Lebanon in 2016 before reporting for the Cape Times in South Africa in 2017. The following year, she ventured into the world of documentary filmmaking with Babel Doc in India. She then became a video journalist for Le Parisien in France, where she covered news events from the World Cup to the climate crisis in the Arctic.

In 2023, Sarah was awarded a grant from the European Journalism Centre to cover mental health in Lebanon after the Beirut explosion. She is also a recipient of the Pascale Gerin Prize and a proud member of LeadHers.

 

Sarah graduated from Sciences Po Paris and New York University.
