sixtine: Why there will be more Death
Paris depends on trucks to keep the city running. But on its narrow streets, residents say they pose a deadly risk. In January 2020, Sixtine, a young girl was killed by a 19-ton truck on her way to school. We followed parents fighting to make their streets safer - and climbed into a truck cab to see the blind spots drivers face firsthand. The Paris City Council ultimately agreed to redesign the intersection, station a crossing guard there and consider broader restrictions on trucks without blind-spot safety systems.
